Baka a.k.a Paboya updates: Romance FREAK.
Today is a Sunday. Last day of study before AMB exam. I was watching is fantastic love story on channel 5 called "Untamed Heart" and gosh, it was sooooo nice!! i absolutely loved the plot. first of all, marisa tomei and christian slater gave a superb performance, and the plot made me cry!!
Here's the story outline:
Caroline (Marisa Tomei) was a waitress working at a restaurant while Adam (Christian Slater) was an errand boy who did all sorts of odd jobs including dish washing, cleaning up the store... they were colleagues, and never did they interact much. However, what caroline didn't know was that Adam was a very introvert boy who didn't speak much at all, but would look at her from far away, and without her knowing, walk her home EVERYDAY at night, becoz' her night shift ends after midnight. *sweet factor!!!* rolls around~~
One day she was attacked and almost raped by 2 men while walking home after night shift when Adam came to rescue her. By then caroline had fainted and he carried her back to her place, where he waited and stood by all night till the early wee hours when she woke up, shocked to find herself back home with his jacket on her. (note: it's freakin december and snowing so imagine how cold he was!!) Anyway, when he saw that she had awoken, he hurriedly left the place. From then on, their little 'thing' began and she started to feel something for him. *YESH YESH!!* Unfortunately, adam had a congenial heart problem and could only survive not much longer... still, their love blossomed and she fell so in love with him (so did i!) that i thought everything was going well.... until the very day --- - his birthday. She brought him to a hockey match (he'd never been to one) and he was so overwhelmed and happy! gosh to think they'd end up happily ever after, he passed away in their car on the way back home. Coz' when she tried to wake up him when they reached his place, he never woke up again.

Baka a.k.a Paboya updates: Bear with me, this is a LONG one.
Ok, i must seriously be the slack-est person in my freakin' level of LSCT students.
I should be chiong-ing if not sleeping coz' i had too much medicine (due to toothache and "ALMOST" nasty surgery) and YET, i am blogging. Yes, it has been quite a day, and i'd like to share it with u nice people...
Morning started at 9am, everything was well... slept a wonderful 8 hours with darned dreams interrupting fantastic brain recharge a couple times during sleep. Nontheless, had a sumptous breakfast at Mac's at IMM with dear mom, before heading to 2 banks at Bukit Batok to do some necessary banking stuff. Then, headed to mom's office at around 11.30 and finally got my arse some place to do Math.
About an hour into Math, i had lunch. yummy "mee-sua" with fish slices. Superbly mouth-watering and healthy, but perhaps too much sodium. Whatever. I like salty stuff.
After lunch sped off like "Speedy gonzales" and headed to NDC for braces check-up. Dr Mimi Yow, my doctor in charge, was pretty much delighted by my teeth adjustment, until she saw my wisdom tooth. Correction, wisdom teeth - all 4, not just 1. Damn those teeth who takes up a darned lot of space and each costing more than 100 bucks to remove, i was told by my doctor that the reason why i had a toothache was because there was no room for my wisdom teeth to grow and i have to extract them. OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME, ALL 4? And my mom thought by having braces my teeth would be perfect. Hah, i think not. Went for a X-ray after that and Dr Yow arranged simple extraction for my lower left wisdom teeth the very same day. Hrmph, glad but hey, tomorrow is my exam for crying out loud! Right. Anyway she transferred me to Dr Danny Tan. Very nice person. Very.
When Dr Danny Tan saw me, the first thing he said (after saying Hi Amanda, have a seat) was :"How old are you?" Hmmm... what a way to start a conversation. I said :"gona be 20 this year" and he was smiling... cute doctor, but hmm. not my type. Then he rubbed some whitish paste on my wisdom tooth and was going to procede with my extracttion when he again asked :"So, are you studying now?" My reply was:" Yea, in fact tomorrow i'm having exams".
Well i'll be damned. He jumped up and shouted:" Abort! Abort! Abort!" Like there was a missile going to be fired and he had to abort the mission. Well it was a pretty shocking thing to me, cause half my mouth was numb and i was staring at him dumbfounded by his sudden outburst. Later he explained to me that it wasn't worth it, to risk my exams for my teeth. I could reschedule it anytime and he would do it for me again. Awww... boy i was touched! *^_^*
Well... to think i was going to be able to reach home ASAP but then along the way back to the MRT i was accosted by this surveyor, who very persuasively asked me about Banks and savings... GAWD, i just can't refuse anyone can i? Hmm.. even though i was already walking away, he caught up and eventually managed to stop me and boy, not for 2 mins... it was for the next 15 mins i think.
Growing up and going through so many modules and presentations has made me realise how all these experiences come in handy when i speak to a stranger. Strangely i used to reply really shyly (yes, i CAN be shy) or i would simply just nod and then get my arse away ASAP but now it seems i was actually striking a conversation with him. And no, i wasn't hitting on him if you guys happen to think that direction. Well anyways, i'm finally home now and really drowsy and groggy but i still gotta do my math. so, until perhaps exams are over and when i'm in UK i'll update again.

Baka a.k.a Paboya updates: 20/2/06
For example, i watched Bridget Jones's Diary yesterday with Jasmine and we were totally lusting over the character Mark Darcy, whom colin firth so happens to play. I have no idea how he is in real life but i'm already infatuated with him, even if he's old, not that handsome. However he does have an alluring accent and charming presence.
Then, later that night i skimmed through the movie "Love Actually" and again, i gushed all over Rodrigo Santoro, nose bleeding everytime he appears in scenes. It makes me wonder are handsome, gorgeous guys all i'm ever interested in? What happens to all those who're average looking, but down to earth, wonderful, kind guys? Like someone once said,
Apart from all the prince charming talks and idolicity, (if tt's a word), i'm going back to studies, like my mom and all the clever people say,

Good Men.Where in the world can i find them? You know i should really be studying for my exams now but instead i'm slacking off and watching dramas and oogling at gorgeous, good, non-existent men from movies, dramas etc. Why can't there be someone who's like them but only exist in our reality? Ah, i get it, the reason why so many prince charmings exist in stories is because there isn't one any in the world and by creating these fictional characters it gives us women a chance to believe that maybe our prince charming is somewhere out there in the world, waiting fo us. And men, while they watch, it reminds them of how gentlemen they could be, and maybe just maybe realise their part in becoming these fictional characters.

Hello EVERYONE!! ESP KAREEN who keeps complaining my BLOG IS DEAD!! lol it is as a matter a fact coz' i'm soooo sianz of updating and putting up pics can be quite a chore you see... so i only put up the funniest ones... the rest i put in my yahoo photo albums where you'll find the link under PHOTOS section *right hand side please*
Hmmm... this sem has been so fun coz' we keep taking pics one one another and below are 2 pics we took on bus 7 on our way home from bugis. LOL i can laugh at this for AGES!! hahahah well yijia, we definitely DON'T look like we're having sex la so chill! LOL you er... just look in pain while i er... happen to look that i'm enjoying wadever i'm doing... hehe
anyway, lotsa gossips this sem. gdine with louis, nara la.... but HEY, nevil is mine and yijia's! LOL kareen is still smitten with her lifeguard and val is still going on strong about her crushieeeeeee... oh not to mention... our squealy piglet rebecca also got herself a bf (at least almost there liao la) dun ask me who coz' i already considered very big mouth for letting out this secret... or is it one? hmm...
Me? I'm just looking foward to days in england shagging.... oh SHIT. not shagging, i meant having fun. knowing more people, maybe meet prince harry or william.. HEH. i might as well say meet mocomichi or takeshi there!
PRac exams were a total screw up. All 3. I wonder if i'm gona get all Cs this sem. I'd be hopping around like a gigantic rabbit if i can pass IMM. Seriously, i wonder why i just can't get facts into my head the right way! However, my language on the other hand seems to be improving as it seems...too bad i can't enter the national japanese speech contest in july as i have no time to prepare whilst in england. GEEZ... but hey, consolation for me! i got *reunited* with ricky from waseda shibuya senior high and he was sooo cute and actually remembered me and jas when we went to their open house last year! i even took a pic with him! *show u in the yahoo! photo album... hehehe.....
oh ya, talking about pics ar we took abother purikura recently. very nice. will post it up on yahoo photo albums too so GUYS, BOOKMARK THAT PAGE!!!
